No Updates
Runaway American Dream
Bruce has it - yep he won the vote for Horatio’s theme! I do have to agree though little (well not so little now) Horatio is born to run!
There were also some excellent suggestions but ‘Chariots of Fire’ and ‘Keep on Running’ had to be my favourites. I’ll probablhy use these in future videos along with my old bands song ‘You Can’t Stop Me’ (http://www.myspace.com/milk2sugars) which is also quite apt.
Horatio is fast approaching halfway so keep your eyes on the site for some major celebrations!
Downtime - For the Server and Me!
Hi Guys! The hamster hike server was shut down over the weekend as Horatio came back to yorkshire with me!! He joined me on the journey home to see his grandma and grandad (I’m sure my mum and dad will appreciate me calling them “grand” feel old yet?). We strapped him in and away we went!! He wasn’t too bothered by the journey - in fact he was running in his wheel for most of the way, trying to save me a few mpg’s I bet.
The map should load quicker now, and I’ll do the stats tomorrow!
Hamsters At Work: Hard Hat Area
So - you may have noticed a few things with the site!! The map was taking ages to load, this is because the text file that holds all horatio’s running data had grown to an enormous 27Mb - so I’ve started a new file to speed that up!! Also randomly the script that counts how many days has been running has started acting up - weird since it’s been fine for 75 days and now it just breaks - wonder if Horatio has been up to no good? The temperature monitoring is so annoying too - sometimes the thermometer just acts up and it wont be recognised, ah well. The stats page hasn’t worked for a while, it’s just so much data it can’t cope. Will have to find a way around this too.
I will be making adjustments over the next few days to get things back to normal!
Horatio’s Theme
I think Horatio should have a theme tune, every good animal has one and it’s about time Horatio did too.
I need your help, vote on the songs below or make your own suggestion by leaving a comment! I’ll use which ever song wins in the next video, well maybe not born to run as that was in the last video, and we’ll vote on any other songs suggested with some kind of mega-vote.
