So - you may have noticed a few things with the site!! The map was taking ages to load, this is because the text file that holds all horatio’s running data had grown to an enormous 27Mb - so I’ve started a new file to speed that up!! Also randomly the script that counts how many days has been running has started acting up - weird since it’s been fine for 75 days and now it just breaks - wonder if Horatio has been up to no good? The temperature monitoring is so annoying too - sometimes the thermometer just acts up and it wont be recognised, ah well. The stats page hasn’t worked for a while, it’s just so much data it can’t cope. Will have to find a way around this too.
I will be making adjustments over the next few days to get things back to normal!

Haha - classic Horatio, he pulled through at the last minute and put in a respectable 2.95 miles on RND (rounded up to 3 miles of course!) so we have raised £110 - pretty impressive I think. All those kind people who sponsored him will recieve emails over the weekend telling you your final total and where to pay! All those who haven’t sponsored - it isn’t too late! Get over to his page here and sponsor him! Thanks so much everyone!!

It’s getting close - red nose day is almost upon us! Sponsor Horatio here
To mark the occasion we’ve finally got a new webcam! You can actually see what’s going on now. We’re leaving the light on so he’ll be running all night and you lucky people in a different time zone will be able to catch a glimpse of him running! Check the regular “Horatio Live” page or the comic relief site here

We’ve teamed up with PetStreet (A pet social networking site) here in the UK to get more people behind Horatio’s hike.
Horatio’s progress is tracked on the main page (http://www.petstreet.co.uk scroll down!) and we’ll be teaming up with them to offer some competitions and hopefully some more cool things as the weeks pass!! So keep an eye out!
Don’t forget to sponsor Horatio for RND

Just noticed on a couple of collegues machines (running old versions of firefox and ie) that the pins on the map aren’t showing - you should see something like this on the Hamster Hike page:

If you don’t can you leave a comment and tell me which browser you’re using! Thanks!
